It was unveiled in the US on the 07/1/07. This nice little piece of technology measures 105 x 64 x 25 mm and is weighting only 254 g. It also supports a lower resolution of 3476 x 2604, 3264 x 2448, 3072 x 2304, 2816 x 2112, 2592 x 1944, 2272 x 1704, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The sensor on the S1050 is a CCD of dimensions 1/1.8 " and uses a RGB color filter. Samsung added a digital zoom on its S1050 with an internal flash being very common in new cameras .
The normal focus range is 80 cm. The min. shutter speed of the S1050 was set at 15 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. Movies are supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Samsung S1050 has an internal memory of 45 mb extendable with external storage with SD/MMC/SDHC card + Internal. The LCD implemented in the S1050 diagonally measures 3.0 ". A video output is available allowing you to watch your pictures on TV. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
