Samsung unveils its new model, the Samsung Digimax V6 which is a very exciting camera and setting new standards in the market! It was presented in North America on the 05/8/04. The Samsung Digimax V6 was initially targeted at a retail price of 278in the United States, considered affordable for such a camera. This nice little piece of technology measures 106 x 55 x 38 mm while it weights only 220 g. The Digimax V6 offers a maximum resolution of 2816 x 2112. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2560 x 1920, 2272 x 1704, 2048 x 1536, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Samsung Digimax V6 has been set at 4:3, for a total of 6.1 mega pixels.
The sensor of the Digimax V6 is a CCD which measures 1/1.8 " with a RGB color filter. Samsung included a digital zoom on the Digimax V6 and included an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range is 80 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Digimax V6 is 2 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 seconds. Movie clips are also supported in this model being a very useful function.
