Samsung strikes back with its new camera, the Samsung S1030 which is a very exciting camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was shown in the US on the 09/2/07. This model measures 100 x 62 x 27 mm while weights 220 g. It also supports a lower resolution of 3476 x 2604, 3264 x 2448, 3072 x 2304, 2816 x 2112, 2592 x 1944, 2272 x 1704, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The sensor on the S1030 is a CCD measuring only 1/1.8 " and uses a RGB color filter. Samsung included a digital zoom on the S1030 and also added an internal flash being very common in new cameras .

The normal focus range between the camera lens and the object is 80 cm. The min. shutter speed of the S1030 is 1 seconds while the maximum shutter speed is 1/1500 seconds. Movies are supported in this model which is always a useful function. The Samsung S1030 camera has an internal storage of 45 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SD/MMC/SDHC card + Internal. The LCD screen available on the S1030 measures 2.7 ". A video output is available allowing you to watch your pictures on TV. Connection to a computer is available through USB.
