The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Samsung Digimax 230 is set at 4:3, making a camera of 1.9 mega pixels. The sensor on the Digimax 230 is a CCD which measures only 1/2.7 " having a RGB color filter.
Samsung included a digital zoom on the Digimax 230 with an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera lens and the main subject is 80 cm. The min. shutter speed of the Digimax 230 is 1/2 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version which is always a useful function. The LCD screen available on the Digimax 230 measures 1.6 ". There is also a video out output available letting you see your pictures on television.
